The challenge we address
The expatriate population is estimated at 87.5 million globally mobile professionals in 2021.65% of global assignees are in dual-career relationships; 40% of assignments fail due to partner dissatisfaction.
70% of accompanying partners experience career disruption, and 65% struggle to advance their careers. Dual career challenges include finding employment for both partners and managing work-life balance.
Employers lose €300K–€1M per failed international assignment (McKinsey).
The solution
The startup addresses this risk directly through holistic, structured and data-backed support.
We turn the tables and ensure that accompanying partners put their skills into meaningful use and make a difference in the country they are in. We are here to:
- Enable accompanying partners to continue their careers without disruption
- Secure that organizations can deploy talent globally
- Curate a global talent pool for organizations to tap into for short- and long-term assignments

Status
We have focused on refining our proprietary tools: A coaching product (The Competency Matrix, Handbook and Global Portfolio CV) and The International Career Couple Handbook. The strategy has been to position the Founder as thought leader within global careers and build a community around personal and professional growth. We have sold consulting services such as support packages and workshops for various clients.
It is now time to shift from creating awareness to monetizing on the IP and turn The Competency Matrix into a framework for global career growth. Ambitions include creating a digital platform and AI supported learning journey in collaboration with an evidence-based assessment provider.
